When I try outside of STFC network, i get same response with error 404.
do you know if a specific port is required and are you able to test again before you need to do it next month?
many thanks,
Rowan

Hi,
Yes we are still having issues and they do need to be resolved. We will be trying to sign our next release in about a month’s time. We know it must be an issue with our network as we have tested this on a home PC and were able to do the signing steps.
We really do need to be able to sign our Windows package to ensure that anti-virus software doesn’t disable Mantid as this causes a lot of problems for users.
Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
I am going through old tickets, I see that there is no response.
Are you still having issues? When i connect to
http://timestamp.digicert.com/ i get a 404 message, which indicates that it is getting past the firewall
many thanks,
Rowan

Hi Nets,
Can you check the Firewall for this one? I'm assuming it's a firewall issue, no updates have put on the ticket but it's the best I can decipher.
Regards
Pete

Dear FIT,
We are trying to digitally sign the Windows package of the latest Mantid release. It looks like we are blocked from doing the timestamp step. Is this something you can help with? We have the correct certificate and can sign it without the timestamp but would
rather not if possible! We contacted DigiCert for help and they provided the response below. We get a blank website rather than a 404 error so we’re definitely being blocked from accessing the site.
We need to do this 3 times a year so a long term solution would be preferable.
Thanks
Sarah

Hello Sarah,
Thank you for reaching out to DigiCert Support.
Your firewall might be blocking the site. What happens when you try to access the website? There is not a website there but if you get a 404 error it means the server was contacted and is up
.
If you don't get that message then perhaps the site is being blocked on your end,
If you need any additional information feel free to contact us again.

Subject: Unable to use timestamp.digicert
Dear Digicert Support,
I am trying to sign and timestamp an applications we are trying to release. When I use the website
http://timestamp.digicert.com it doesn’t seem to work and I get the error message
SignTool Error: The specified timestamp server either could not be reached or
returned an invalid response.
When I have removed the command /tr http://timestamp.digicert.com and done the digital signature without the timestamp it has worked with no errors.
What could the issue be? Is the service down?
Many thanks
Sarah Foxley
