Hello,
We are proud to announce version 6.3.0 of Mantid is now available. Installation packages can be found on our
download page. You can also access the source code on
GitHub release page.
One particular aspect of this release we would like to highlight is that it is now possible to install a Python package, called mantid, that gives access to the Mantid algorithms
and workspaces without bringing along the GUI. The package is available through the widely-used package manager Conda thereby making it easy to install mantid alongside other Python packages. Please see the
Conda installation instructions for how to access the packages.
Please take a look at the
release notes, which are filled with details of all
of the changes and improvements in many other areas. The development team has put a great effort into making all of these improvements and we would like to thank all of our beta testers for their time and effort helping us to make this another reliable version.
Thank you to everyone that has reported any issues to us and please keep on reporting any problems you have on our
forum or by email on
mantid-help@mantidproject.org.
Installation on IDAaaS at ISIS: The version will remain pinned at 6.2.0. Please contact
support@analysis.stfc.ac.uk to arrange for the environment for your group to be
updated at a convenient time.
Kind regards,
Mantid Development Team
p.s. You may have received an email saying you have been unsubscribed from our announcements list. This was to make way for sending the announcement to a wider list that would include
everyone rather than curating a separate manual list. Sorry for any confusion.
